Where we are
Ella lives and works on the island of O’ahu, an occupied Kingdom since 1893.
The land holds the person. Wherever you are reading this, you are reading it standing on land that shaped you, and you’re invited to notice it, to name it, and to be conscious of how your land and your place of residence is a part of you too.

Privacy & Terms.
What we collect.
The newsletter. When you subscribe at the bottom of any page, we ask for one thing: your email address. You confirm it once by tapping a link WordPress.com sends you (double opt-in), and you can leave any time via the unsubscribe link in every email, or by emailing aloha@pleasure.coach.
The contact & interest forms. Your name, email, and message are sent to Ella by email. They exist so she can write back. Nothing is added to a list unless you subscribe separately.
The quiz. Your Pleasure Archetype answers are stored for 14 days and then deleted automatically. Giving an email at the end is optional, and the result is yours to see either way.
The archetype library. Opening the full library of fourteen types asks for an email address. It is kept only so the page can let you through again and so we know you’ve asked, and a small first-party cookie remembers you for a year. If you tick the newsletter box alongside it, you’re a subscriber like anyone else. Same exit doors.
Bookings & enrolment. Booking a discovery call or a seat in a Salon asks for your name, email, and a few short questions: how you’re calling, whether you’re an adult, what brings you. Your answers go to Ella and no one else, and she reads them to prepare for your session. When you enrol, an account is created so you can sign in, reschedule, and see your appointments. Sign-in happens through a link sent to your email, so there is no password to remember.
Comments. If you comment on a post, Akismet processes the submission to keep the spam out.
What we don’t.
No advertising trackers. No selling or sharing of your data with anyone, for any reason. Quiz progress, your archetype library status, and your dark-mode preference live in your own browser and stay there.
Who else handles things.
WordPress.com hosts this site and carries the newsletter subscription flow. Akismet checks comments for spam. Stripe takes the payments for Salons and 1:1 work; your card details go to Stripe and are never seen or kept here. Zoom carries the live sessions and their links. Each one processes only what it needs to deliver its own part, under its own policies.
Social Media. As of 2026, Ella Blackwood does not use social media to communicate with clients. Any authentic communication from pleasure.coach arrives by email, so an account or profile carrying the name elsewhere is not us, and we will not reach out on those platforms.
Your keys.
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, or for it to be deleted, any time at aloha@pleasure.coach. A person reads that inbox and handles every request.
Terms of the work.
Coaching is coaching. Coaching can support wellbeing. It is not therapy or clinical treatment, and it is not a substitute for medical or mental-health care. If something heavier than a good season is going on, a licensed professional is the right next call, and working with Ella doesn’t preclude working with one.
The people behind the work. Ella is formally certified as an advanced-level Feminine Embodiment Coach through the School of Embodied Arts, with insurance and licensing through the International Institute of Complementary Therapies (IICT). She also holds certifications in Yoga teaching, Yoga teaching for children, and Bodywork (Footzoning), plus a BFA in Animation with Honors, with Minors in Religion and German, and an MFA in English and Creative Writing. This training and insurance make her a reliable host for both online and in-person events.
Ages. Online engagements are the Salons, the discovery call, and 1:1 work in the Academy. These are for adults only. Ella’s in-person events, still to come, will be open to tweens, teens, and parents bringing their kids, with details given on an event-by-event basis.
Pronouns. pleasure.coach respects chosen pronouns. If you make yours known to us, in a booking, an intake answer, or a conversation, we use them. Tell us at aloha@pleasure.coach any time if you want to correct what we have on file.
Beliefs and Sexuality. Pleasure coaching is not a belief system, and it is not a declaration about any person’s sexuality or preference. Ella will not encourage or advise a client toward specific action regarding their belief system, faith deconstruction, or sexual orientation. She speaks of her own experience of being raised in religion elsewhere on this site, but pleasure coaching itself stays focused on supporting clients to make the best possible decisions for them, with the understanding that only the client can say what that decision ultimately is.
Accountability. The client is always in the driver’s seat for their own life and relationship decisions. Coaching can support a person, but it never replaces a client’s autonomy, and clients assume full responsibility for the timing and consequences of their decisions. By accepting these terms, clients of pleasure.coach release pleasure.coach, Ella Blackwood, and Sacred Play, LLC (the parent company) from all claims of harm or undue influence, and take full personal responsibility for their own actions.
Movement. Drop-ins and group work are dynamic offerings. They may use meditative language, closed eyes, movement, sound, and at times yoga and dance as tools for connecting to the body. As a qualified yoga teacher, Ella uses these tools with intention and for specific purpose, and not every session or season will use them. Modifications of specific movements are always offered so everyone can take part, and clients are welcome to sit out or make their own modifications if there is any concern at all about the movements.
Communications. Outside of a session, clients can email aloha@pleasure.coach with follow-up questions or concerns, and can expect a response within 1–2 American working days. No communications from pleasure.coach will come through social media.
Timezones. Clients are responsible for seeing that their own computer shows the correct timezone for their plans. Booking times are rendered for your device; when no timezone information is available, pleasure.coach defaults to showing times in HST. Please double-check any timing information yourself. Missed appointments caused by timezone confusion are not eligible for a refund or reschedule, but individual circumstances can be assessed by contacting aloha@pleasure.coach.
Environment. For 1:1 coaching and Salons, clients are expected to find a private space with reliable wi-fi where they can settle in for the duration of the call. Environments that are noisy, disruptive, chaotic, or inconsistent with a stable connection can lead to an unsatisfying session or a premature conclusion. Sessions interrupted or lost due to a client’s environment or circumstances are not eligible for refund or replacement. If interruptions or poor wi-fi seem likely, rescheduling is encouraged so you receive your full time. Ella works to maintain an environment of peace and stability on her end, but if a session is disrupted from her side, she will contact the client directly to arrange a replacement.
Carbon Footprint. Ella Blackwood, pleasure.coach, and the parent company Sacred Play, LLC aim to be carbon neutral or carbon positive. Solar power covers energy needs where we control them, renewable options and materials are used at every opportunity, and local businesses and small-business partners are used at every opportunity.
The Pleasure Archetypes quiz. The Quiz is not prescriptive and is not a final verdict. It is an engaging way into self-reflection, not a definition of self. Treat an archetype as a starting point. The reflection is yours, and so are the conclusions.
A note on A.I. A.I. tools assisted in the making of this site. In the photographs, that assistance went to one purpose: preserving the identity of real people who appear on this site and asked to stay unnamed. The writing here is Ella’s, and so are the ideas in it. Both are © Ella Blackwood.
Words & pictures. The essays, podcast episodes, photos, materials, and the ideas in them are © 2026 Ella Blackwood. Link to them, share them, quote a sentence with credit; don’t republish whole pieces without permission.
Voices. Every testimonial on this site is real and shared with permission. Some are lightly condensed for space, with care for the speaker’s own words.
Seasons & prices. Salon dates, seat counts, and prices on this site reflect the current season and may change before a booking is confirmed. Rescheduling is welcome with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Salons.
A Salon is a long-term engagement: it runs for three months, gathering weekly. Live attendance is highly encouraged, because the work happens between the people in the room.
Circle members are also expected to respect the pronouns of other members. It is part of how the room is held for everyone.
A Salon is only cancelled under extreme circumstances: extreme weather, extended power outages, or unavoidable travel where no substitute host could be secured. Every Salon is built with the flexibility to miss one week without losing any value.
If two or more weeks must be cancelled, we will contact you about replacement times or a refund, full or partial depending on how many weeks were missed.
Fees & payment.
Services are paid for before they are rendered. A discovery call is free. Everything else is confirmed once payment has gone through, and the link, calendar, or session that belongs to it is sent after that.
Refunds and Cancelations.
Cancel before your first session, and the fee comes back in full. Cancel after the first session but before the second, and 75% of the original purchase price comes back. After two sessions, no refund is available. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or sessions where the client does not show up, are not eligible for a refund or replacement. Rescheduling an individual session follows the same rule: at least 24 hours’ notice.
Terms of engagement.
The work depends on how people treat each other inside it. Two tiers apply. And if severe undisclosed and untreated mental illness is apparent, we reserve the right to refuse services at any time.
Severe: service ends without warning, with no refund. Using violent, aggressive, misogynistic, or racist language in a call, in messaging, or toward anyone present; approaching Circle members or leaders with sexual or romantic content; showing or sending violent or offensive content to Circle members or leaders, in a call or out of one; recording or leaking what happens in the room beyond it; deliberately breaching the room’s bounds after having been asked to step back.
Minor: one warning first. A small number of things draw a warning before anything harder: excessive interrupting during a group call; chronic no-showing or late-joining into a Salon circle (seats cannot be cancelled from inside a season); soliciting members to sell, promote, or recruit for something of your own; otherwise not holding the boundaries or requests Circle members have set for group behaviour. Warnings are made once, plainly, and privately. Repeated violations then end up where the severe cases go: participation ended with no refund.
Photos & recording.
Participating in a Salon, workshop, or any gathering hosted by pleasure.coach means agreeing that the room may be photographed and recorded. It splits in two:
Photographs may appear in public places: this site, social media, printed material.
Session recordings stay with the participants of that session only, for looking back, not for wider release.
If that doesn’t sit right at any point, you can withdraw your consent to being recorded or photographed by emailing aloha@pleasure.coach; the request is honoured, no questions asked. If something already exists that you’d rather not be in, let us know and we will take care of it.
Confidentiality.
In general, coaching is not included under the umbrella of therapy, and it does not carry the legal confidentiality protections that therapy does. Even so, pleasure.coach works to protect confidentiality and consent in this work as fully as possible, and you are encouraged to honor your own boundaries in what you do or don’t share. Ella holds confidentiality on the work itself: what someone says or does in a session stays out of public sight unless they have said otherwise.
Salons: a Salon is a group space, and that changes the shape of it. What is shared inside stays inside: the group holds your story, and you hold theirs. Joining a Salon means you are ready to hold that confidentiality for every member, just as they hold it for you.
Therapy.
Coaching is not a replacement for pharmaceutical or clinical treatments. It is a holistic support for personal development and community connection, and it works best alongside, not instead of, medical care. If severe undisclosed and untreated mental illness is apparent to us, we reserve the right to refuse services at any time.
